Please do add your date of birth in your profile, you'll then appear on the upcoming birthdays on the right hand side! Don't worry - year will stay a secret :) To change your profile, have a look down the right hand side and you'll see the title 'User Menu', then click 'Update Profile,' there's an 'Edit' button at the top of the screen and then choose 'Update your profile' from the little menu that drops down. You'll find the date of birth field at the bottom of the contact info tab.

Orion one of the world & instance designers blogs regularly, I try to post the most interesting ones and this has important news for changes coming along in V2B9. Perth. Over to Orion....
By now, many of you have seen Amlug’s post and for those that have not, check it out http://my.lotro.com/amlug/2009/08/13/upcoming-radiance-barter-changes/ then come back here and read this one. (Insert - Muzak version of ‘The girl from Ipanema’) Now that you are all back, welcome! It’s Friday and there have been a lot of questions since Amlug posted on the changes to the acquisition of Radiance gear. I am pleased that he was able to get this out there as I didn’t want to be the only one talking and ultimately, radiance is not really in the purview of my revisions. Still, this is the plan that we were working that I mentioned in previous blogs and now you have it for general consumption and you have some questions so I decided to pop-in and answer some of those questions before the, now meager, reveal of the new tech that I kept mentioning as I wound down my blogs on the revisions to Garth Agarwen. When are the changes to Radiance coming? We are currently working on the changes and should have them ready for the Book 9 release. No clear promises yet, but that is the plan. Players can once again enter the Tower area normally.
===Dark Brotherhood:===
- The Mistress is mad! The Mistress smash harder!
===Waterwheels:===
- Hard Mode has increased slightly in difficulty. The Caerogs can now periodically help each other out of mezzes
and roots. - The pistons no longer cause line-of-sight failures.
- Players can no longer get stuck in perma-root with the final boss.

The next Kin social night will be on Monday 17th August. This will be Beanos Middle Earth Treasure Hunt. Full details will be unknown until the date to make it as fair as possible but if your interested in some classic Bilbo-esk riddles and think you know middle earth then come along and win some big prizes and gold. A few words about this guideThis guide is something I have been working on for a few weeks, I hope it will be helpful. This is a basic guide and will not got in to too much detail, indeed many of the subjects I will touch on are more widely covered and hotly debated in the official forums. Can I suggest that if you want to know more about a certain issue then take a look at the forums, ask in game or on our forum here, or maybe even do some research of your own ;). I will be mostly concerned with playing a champ endgame, although there is a lot in here which will be useful to a lvling champ as well. This guide is very much based on the way I play, and things that I have discovered through playing champ and also reading the thoughts of other champs. Through this I am not hoping to spawn 101 Closer clones, but to provide you with a strong base of knowledge that you can accept, adapt or ignore as you search for your own unique style. It is well worth taking time to read the official LOTRO champ forums as there is so much info there to help us all improve as champs. Hope you find this both enjoyable and helpful. Fancy winning 3 gold? Easy if you know how. To enter, between now and midnight on the 15th August just write and submit an article to this website. It could be a guide to a class or an instance, some fiction based on your char and his or her adventures in Middle Earth but whatever it is it should be original, your own work, relevant to LotRO and ideally to DotWT. As long as there are at least 5 entries, 3 gold from the kin vault is up for grabs. The competition will be judged by the Officers who will vote on the articles and if there is a tie, Amo (our fearless leader) will have the casting vote. Officers can't win the prize but can submit an article. If you need a little help with using the website, there is a guide to submitting an article here. Any questions, please drop Perthir a message in game or using the PM system on the website. The button you need to submit an article is over on the right hand side, in the User Menu. Good Luck!
